01
Youth Coalition
The St. Francois County Mental Health Board's Youth Coalition is dedicated to improving mental health and reducing youth substance use through a dynamic, multifaceted approach. By offering education, hosting inclusive events, and implementing innovative outreach strategies such as social media campaigns and podcasts, the coalition empowers young people to build resilience, foster open conversations, and create a supportive community. These efforts aim to inspire positive change and provide resources to address mental health and substance use challenges among youth.
02
Board Development
Board development will strengthen the St. Francois County Mental Health Board by enhancing members’ skills, knowledge, and engagement, enabling them to make more informed decisions, foster collaboration, and effectively advocate for mental health initiatives. This growth will ensure the board operates strategically, aligns with community needs, and maximizes resources to achieve its goals efficiently and sustainably.

03
Suicide Prevention
The St. Francois County Mental Health Board takes an upstream approach to suicide prevention by strengthening protective factors before crisis occurs. Through evidence-based trainings and community partnerships, we focus on supporting youth, families, schools, and trusted adults with the knowledge and skills to promote mental wellness, build resilience, and encourage help-seeking. Our efforts prioritize education, connection, and early intervention to create safer, healthier communities for all.
04
Suicide Postvention
The St. Francois County Mental Health Board is committed to compassionate, coordinated postvention efforts following a suicide loss. Through education, training, and community collaboration, we work to support individuals, families, schools, and organizations impacted by loss while reducing the risk of further harm. Our ongoing efforts include developing a countywide postvention plan to ensure timely, trauma-informed, and consistent responses that promote healing, connection, and hope.
